Therapies & Focuses

How I can help

Being based in Chicago, I am available to do counseling through a HIPPA approved platform, both via video or phone so your mental health is taken care of.

General Therapy

The only consistency in life is change. You don't have to walk through it alone. We offer general therapy sessions to anyone who might need it.

Grief

Whether it's the loss of a loved one or a hard time in life, grief needs to be processed.

Multicultural

I offer a multicultural approach, meaning I work with where YOU come from, able to bridge gaps.

Career Transitions

This is for individuals who are considering a new career path or want to develop better communication and leadership skills to help them advance in their current role.

Couples

This is for couples that might be looking to improve their relationship or repair it from previous damage.

Depression

Depression can happen slowly or come out of nowhere. I can help with thinking and coping.

What We are doing

COVID-19

Due to the uncertainty with COVID-19, we are offering telehealth. This allows you to get therapy and counseling from anywhere without the fear of coming into contact with the virus. When things are safe again, we will resume in-person sessions.

Testimonials

5/5
I highly recommend Pleasant Paths to everyone. I have received counseling and guidance with life transitions and career development. I was introduced to Toastmasters Club to increase with the public speaking, improve my communication, and building leadership skills. Thanks to this I was able to complete my degree and on my path to better places.

After speaking with Ruby about overcoming my anxieties for moving forward on my career path. She helped me understand that it is okay to be anxious, but that I can make changes to the things I can control. My biggest struggles is public speaking in any size group. She recommended that I would participate in a toastmasters club. I did as she recommended and it immediately felt as if it was something I should have done a long time ago. It was exactly what I needed to start building the confidence in myself. She is kind, patient, and will LISTEN to what you have to say.
